This Privacy Policy explains how CloseTheOffer ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

The short version: CloseTheOffer is a job-search dashboard. Your application data is stored to power your pipeline. When you connect optional integrations (such as Gmail) or supply your own API keys, those credentials stay in your browser and are sent only to the relevant provider — never to us.

Information We Collect

Account information — the email address you use to sign in.
Job-search data — applications, companies, roles, statuses, notes, and other content you add to your pipeline.
Integration data — when you connect Gmail or a job-board search, we process the data needed to provide that feature.
API keys you provide — keys for third-party services (e.g. Anthropic, RapidAPI) are stored locally in your browser and used to call those services directly from your device.
Usage data — basic, aggregated information about how the Service is used to help us improve it.

How We Use Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
To sync and display your job-search pipeline.
To power features you explicitly enable, such as email sync or job search.
To communicate with you about your account when necessary.

Third-Party Services

The Service may interact with third-party providers including Google (Gmail/OAuth), Anthropic, and job-board APIs. When you use these features, your data is shared with those providers under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

Google API Services. CloseTheOffer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Gmail and Calendar data is read only with your explicit consent, is processed entirely in your browser to display your recruiter emails and interview events to you, is never transferred to our servers, never used for advertising, and never sold. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Data Storage & Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. Credentials and API keys you provide for optional integrations are kept in your browser's local storage and are not transmitted to our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You can disconnect integrations or remove stored API keys at any time from the app's settings.
You can request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
